Dave has over 36 years of experience and expertise that he uses to evaluate and address your risk management needs. He places a special emphasis on the marketing, negotiation, and placement of insurance coverage. Dave maintains strong relationships with all of our various carriers and is highly regarded within the industry for his knowledge and technical expertise.
Dave was born and raised in Watsonville, California and is a graduate of UCLA. After graduation, he worked for Deans and Homer and Industrial Indemnity as an underwriter prior to joining McSherry & Hudson in 1979. Dave became a Partner in 1986, and Managing Partner in 2012. Dave specializes in agriculture and food-related industries, particularly in produce grown in the Pajaro and Salinas Valleys.
Dave is a past Board Member for Agency Peak Performance Exchange (APPEX). Many of the top agencies from across the nation are members of APPEX, which enables them access to the financial expertise and consulting services of MarshBerry.
Steve specializes in providing commercial lines insurance and risk management services. He assists in coordinating client services and marketing utilizing his expertise in areas such as collecting underwriting data, reviewing current programs, recommendations of structure and design and presentation of proposals.
Steve joined McSherry & Hudson in 2006. Prior to that, he worked for Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, where he specialized in risk management services for agriculture and construction clients.
He is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration, and a focus on Marketing. Steve also holds the professional designations of Associate of Risk Management (ARM) and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS). He is a Board Member of Agri-Culture, and an active participant with the CA Strawberry Commission, California Rodeo, and Grower-Shipper Association.
Chuck specializes in the placement of insurance and surety programs for the construction and development industries. He assists clients in structuring complex insurance programs using financial models to drive the markets. Chuck has longstanding relationships with the decision makers in the surety industry that helps him negotiate programs with the markets.
Chuck joined McSherry and Hudson as a partner in 2012. Prior to that he was Area Vice President for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co and he also held positions as Vice President at Lou Jones and Associates and Willis Towers Watson.
Chuck is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a special concentration in Finance. Chuck is active in the community and has served on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara. He is active with several organizations including Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA), United Contractors Association (UCON), Associated General Contractors (AGC), the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP), and the Surety Association of Northern California.
Vince specializes in the construction and ag industries, where he has had experience his whole life, growing up with his father running a large electrical contracting business. He works with clients and potential clients to understand their business, build a relationship, know their risk appetite, and assist them in acquiring surety and insurance. After developing a deep understanding of the company and industry, he develops specific risk management programs for each client based upon their needs.
Prior to joining McSherry and Hudson, Vince was a Broker at Arthur J. Gallagher, where he managed and designed the insurance and surety needs of general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and property owners.
Vince is a graduate of Santa Clara University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He is a CRIS, Construction Risk Insurance Specialist, and a CLCS, Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist.
Rhonda has been with McSherry and Hudson since 1995, initially as an account manager. Prior to her time with us, she was an account and automation manager at Barlocker Insurance Services. Rhonda is an indispensable member of our team, coordinating with clients, the internal McSherry and Hudson team, and our outward facing account managers, to ensure that everything is running smoothly. Rhonda’s extensive brokerage knowledge allows her to oversee the day-to-day activities that affect your insurance coverage.
Blane has overseen the group health benefits for our clients for the last 4+ years. Prior to his time with us, he was a financial representative of Northwestern Mutual. Blane has stayed up-to-date with all of the many changes that the Affordable Care Act has had on small, medium, and large businesses, in a number of industries that are prevalent in Central and Northern California. He tailors his solutions to the needs of the client, and his ability to explain the benefits to employers and employees is one of the many things that sets Blane apart.
